McKinnon Reserve Playground

This recently upgraded playground sits within a recreational and sporting oasis for the whole family, featuring lots of green open space for you, family, and your four legged friend/s.

The playground itself has so much on offer to keep children of all ages and interests engaged, active, and happy. The playground has a giant multi-level tower play unit, featuring a scramble wall and two large enclosed slides. This is attached by a rope-bridge to a second timber play structure and tree house, featuring a medium sized dual slide, which seemed to be a hit with the toddlers.

Surrounding this area you’ll find a hammock (it’s a hit with the parents too), seesaw and balance beams, cute village shop and gas station, and a five-way swing. There’s also a soft fall rubber surface area with two flying foxes, and a rope climbing spinner unit.

Scattered throughout the play zones are boulders, shrubs and timber beams, encouraging nature play.

And for those kids that just love climbing and balancing, there is a beautiful blue custom rock-climbing wall/boulder, and a separate climbing obstacle course located near the basketball court.

The playground gets very busy on weekends, and parking on McKinnon and Tucker Roads can get a bit tight. There is a 7/11 across the road which is convenient for refueling after all that activity!

Note that the the northern end of McKinnon Reserve, including the playground and main oval closest to McKinnon Road, is an on-leash area, whilst the southern end of the park (oval two) is an off-leash area.
